How Pure Image Brought World-Class Smart Home Technology to Whistler
June 26, 2026
Some companies grow by chasing markets. Pure Image grew by following the homes.
When Pure Image was founded in Vancouver in 2005, the vision was straightforward: bridge the gap between the technology people want and the simplicity they need to actually enjoy it. Twenty years later, that mission hasn’t changed — but the scale of what we do, and where we do it, has grown into something none of us could have predicted in those early days.
Today we’re a team of 60+ specialists across Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria and Calgary, working on some of the most beautiful and complex homes and commercial spaces in Western Canada. But the story of how we got here — and particularly how we grew our presence in Whistler — is one we’re proud to tell.

Building Something That Lasts
From the beginning, Pure Image was never about moving fast and cutting corners. We built our reputation project by project, client by client, earning trust the hard way — by showing up, doing the work properly, and staying around long after the job was done.
That approach attracted a certain kind of client. Homeowners who cared deeply about their spaces. Builders and architects who had a vision and needed a technology partner who could match it. People who understood that the difference between a good smart home and a great one isn’t the equipment — it’s the team behind it.

Over two decades we’ve become one of Canada’s most credentialed smart home integration companies. We are a Platinum Elite Crestron Dealer — one of only 20 in the world and the only company in Canada on the Crestron Dealer Board. These aren’t just credentials on a wall. They represent thousands of hours of training, programming, installation and aftercare across hundreds of projects.
Why Whistler
Whistler found us as much as we found it.
As our reputation grew in Vancouver, clients started asking us to follow their projects up the Sea to Sky. Architects and builders working on high-end chalets in Whistler wanted the same level of technology integration they were seeing in Vancouver’s finest homes. And Whistler’s unique demands — remote access for vacation properties, extreme weather conditions, the particular lifestyle of mountain living — made smart home technology not just desirable but genuinely essential.

In 2022 we made it official, bringing Lukas Jelinek onto the team as our dedicated Whistler Territory Manager. Lukas has called the mountains home for 12 years. He knows this community, knows these homes, and understands what it takes to make technology disappear seamlessly into the mountain lifestyle. Having someone truly local — not just someone who drives up occasionally from Vancouver — changed everything about how we serve Whistler clients.
What Smart Home Technology Means in Whistler
A Whistler property has demands that simply don’t exist in the city.
Many of our clients own vacation chalets they manage remotely from Vancouver or beyond. They want to arrive to a home that’s warm, lit and ready — and leave knowing everything is secure and under control. That’s not a convenience. In a mountain property, that’s peace of mind that genuinely changes how you enjoy the space.
We’ve worked on luxury residences throughout Whistler — from intimate ski chalets to expansive multi-level homes in the area’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. Projects that required full Crestron home automation tying together lighting, climate, audio visual, motorized shading and security into one seamless system. Properties where Lutron lighting control and motorized roller shades transform how natural light moves through a space throughout the day. Homes where Sonance architectural audio fills every room — indoors, outdoors, on the deck — with sound that genuinely surprises people the first time they hear it.
One of our most rewarding ongoing projects has been our work at the Four Seasons Residences in Whistler — a landmark property that demanded the highest level of technical precision and discretion. Projects like this remind us why we do what we do.

The Technology Behind the Mountain Lifestyle
The brands we bring to Whistler aren’t chosen by accident. Every system we specify and install has been chosen because it performs flawlessly, looks beautiful and lasts.
Crestron gives our clients complete, seamless control over every system in their home from anywhere in the world. Lutron delivers lighting scenes and motorized shading that respond intelligently to time of day, sunlight and personal preference. Control4 unifies everything into an intuitive interface the whole family can use. Sonance and Sonos bring music alive throughout the entire home. And when a client wants a cinematic experience — a dedicated home theatre with 4K projection, Dolby Atmos surround sound and Kaleidescape — we build it from the ground up, engineered specifically for their space.
What makes the difference in Whistler isn’t just the equipment. It’s having a local team that can respond quickly, service systems properly, and build relationships with the builders, architects and designers shaping the best homes in the Sea to Sky corridor.
What’s Next
Twenty years in, we’re more excited about what we do than ever. Whistler continues to grow as one of Canada’s premier luxury destinations, and the homes being built there are more ambitious and more beautiful than anything we’ve seen before. We’re proud to be part of that story — and proud to be the team that Whistler’s most discerning homeowners, builders and architects trust to bring their vision to life.

If you’re planning a project in Whistler or anywhere along the Sea to Sky, we’d love to talk.
