Crestron
Crestron has been building control systems since 1972 — first for commercial spaces, later for homes. It’s the platform we reach for when a project has a lot going on: a large property, multiple subsystems that need to talk to each other, or a system that will be modified over years rather than replaced.
Pure Image designs, installs and programs Crestron across Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria and Calgary — lighting, shading, audio, video, networking, security and climate, all on one interface. We work with homeowners, builders, architects, interior designers and commercial clients.
One of twenty, globally.
We’re an Elite Platinum Crestron dealer and the only company in Canada on the Crestron Dealer Board — twenty members worldwide. We’re also a Crestron Hospitality Elite Dealer, one of twenty in North America and the only one in Western Canada.
What Sets Us Apart
We hold Crestron stock in our own warehouse, so a replacement part doesn’t wait on a supplier order.
Our service team runs seven days a week, 8am to 10pm, answered by our own technicians — which matters when a system is running a business.
The person who writes your system is on our team, so changes and additions don’t need a subcontractor learning it from scratch.
Planning a Crestron project?
Crestron works for both homes and commercial spaces, and the difference is mostly in how it’s programmed rather than what it is. In a house it runs lighting, shading, audio, video and climate from one interface. In an office or hotel it does the same across a boardroom, a floor, or a whole building.

Crestron Solutions Across Western Canada
From waterfront homes in Vancouver and Whistler to estates in Victoria and Calgary, we design and program Crestron systems around how each house is actually used.
Smart Home Solutions
A home that supports how you feel
Light, sound, temperature and air quality all affect sleep, energy and mood — usually without anyone noticing until one of them is wrong.
Crestron Home OS puts those things on a schedule rather than a switch. Lights warm and dim through the evening, shades close before a room overheats, and the house adjusts to the time of day without anyone thinking about it.
Smart Lighting
Lighting is the part of a smart home people notice first and use most, and it does more than most people expect. Light that follows the natural arc of the day can lift mood, sharpen focus and help you sleep better. Crestron handles lighting as scenes rather than switches, so a room changes with the hour instead of waiting for someone to adjust it.
- Control from anywhere, at any time.
- Set one scene for entertaining and another for movie night.
- Lights come on as you walk into a room, and off shortly after you leave.
- Scenes shift through the day on their own — bright in the morning, warm by evening.
- One press turns off the whole house on the way to bed.
Keypads and Dimmers
A keypad is the part of the system you actually touch, so it has to look right on the wall and behave predictably every time. Crestron makes two lines, and which one suits a project usually comes down to how the room is finished.
Horizon
Horizon is the newer of the two — a slim, low-profile keypad that sits almost flush with the wall. Button sizes are configurable and engraving is custom.
Finishes come in metal, glass or textured, including brushed brass and dark bronze, which are the ones designers tend to ask for.
Cameo
Cameo is the more configurable of the two — 137 possible layouts, three button types including rocker switches, and buttons that can be swapped or reconfigured later rather than replaced. Neutral wire-free models make it the easier choice on a retrofit, and it runs wired or wireless.
Available in white, grey, almond and black, smooth or textured, with custom engraving throughout.
Motorized Shades
Crestron makes motorized roller shades, horizontal sheers, roman shades and drapery tracks, and Pure Image designs and installs all of them across Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria and Calgary. Wired or battery-powered, for new construction, a renovation, or a straight upgrade from manual shades.

What makes them work as part of a Crestron system rather than alongside one is that they run on the same interface as everything else. A single press can lower the shades, bring the lights down and set the temperature — and on a schedule, the house does it without anyone asking.
Glass is the part of a house you have least control over. Shades take the afternoon sun off a west-facing room, keep UV off your furniture and art, and reduce what you spend heating and cooling a heavily glazed space.
Digital QMT motors run floor-to-ceiling drops quietly enough to move mid-conversation, and they’re covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Roller, sheer, roman and drapery — including curved tracks and custom bends — all on the same control system as your lighting.
Our Yaletown showroom stocks the fabric range, and we’ll send samples to your home so you can judge them in the light they’ll actually hang in. Design, installation, programming and service are all handled by our own team.
Audio
Crestron distributes audio around the house in zones. The kitchen, the patio and a bedroom can each play something different at the same time — or all play the same thing when you want the whole floor to feel like one room. Each zone has its own volume, so music can sit low in the background where people are talking and louder where they aren’t.
It works with the streaming services people already use, so nobody has to change how they listen. Control comes from a keypad on the wall, a touchscreen, or a phone — and because audio is part of the same system as lighting and shades, it can be built into a scene. One press to start dinner: lights down, shades closed, music on in the kitchen and dining room.
Thermostats
Horizon® smart thermostats maintain an optimal temperature at all times, enhancing your comfort and quality of sleep. Using remote temperature and humidity sensors, thermostats can be placed in a central closet and controlled remotely via mobile devices, keypads, remotes, and touch screens.
Horizon Thermostats feature Wi-Fi® connectivity, ensuring easy installation for both new construction and retrofits. With no batteries to replace, you can set them and forget them.
Crestron Home also supports most popular HVAC systems.

Home Access
The peace of mind that comes from knowing your loved ones are safe and your most valued possessions are secure, whether you’re at home or away, is priceless.
Home Access & Security
Crestron Home brings security, access control and power management onto the same system as everything else — so the house behaves as one thing rather than several that happen to be in the same building.
The app shows the exact position of garage bays, gates and doors, so you can see what’s open from wherever you are rather than driving back to check.
The alarm can be armed or disarmed from any touchscreen in the house, or remotely from a phone — useful when someone arrives before you do.
Video
Crestron DigitalMedia distributes video around the house from a central rack, which means the boxes, players and receivers all live in one place rather than in a cabinet under every television. There’s nothing to look at in the room and nothing to trip over, and there’s one remote instead of four.
Any source can go to any screen. Turn on a channel without hunting for the right remote, save the programmes you watch regularly, and start something in one room and pick it up in another. A match can play on the family room television and on every other screen in the house at the same time, which matters when people don’t all want to watch in the same place.

Because it’s part of the same system as lighting and shades, video can sit inside a scene. One press for movie night: the projector wakes, the screen drops, the lights come down and the shades close. Nobody hunts for an input. And it’s built for a house rather than a living room. Long cable runs, multiple screens and 4K sources are what the platform is designed around, which is why it holds up in properties where a consumer setup would start dropping signal.
Pool/Spa
A pool or spa is one of the few things in a house that needs attention whether or not anyone is using it. Crestron brings it onto the same system as everything else, so water temperature, heating and filtration are controlled from a touchscreen or a phone rather than a panel in the plant room. The practical difference is being able to start the spa before you get home. Heating water takes time, and pressing a button on the drive back means it’s ready when you arrive rather than an hour later. The same works in reverse — if nobody’s using it, filtration and heating can run on a reduced schedule instead of full time.
It also connects to the rest of the outside. One press for an evening on the patio: spa on, landscape lighting up, music in the outdoor zones, and the shades closed on the west side of the house where the sun is still coming in.
And you can see the state of it without going outside. Water temperature, pump status and heater status all show on the same screen as the rest of the house, so a problem is visible before it becomes an expensive one.
What Else Connects
Crestron connects to things people don’t expect it to. HVAC, kitchen appliances, irrigation, pool equipment, weather stations — if a device can be controlled, it can usually be brought into the same system as everything else. This matters more on larger properties. It isn’t that any one of these things is difficult to manage — it’s that a house with fifteen separate systems, each with its own app and its own schedule, becomes tiring to run. Bringing them onto one platform is less about capability than about not having to think about it.
Smart Business Solutions
Crestron will help streamline your business operations by enhancing organization, simplifying technology integration, and ensuring ease of use. With remote accessibility and efficient functionality, Crestron offers tailored solutions designed to optimize your workplace.
Video Conferencing
Crestron makes the room work for whoever’s in it, and whoever isn’t. Native support for Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet means the boardroom runs the platform your business already uses rather than one it has to adopt — and joining a meeting takes one press rather than a hunt for the right cable.
Wireless Presentation
AirMedia handles wireless presentation, so anyone can share their screen without an adapter and without asking which input to use. It’s a full bring-your-own-meeting setup: connect from your own laptop, use the room’s cameras, microphones and displays, and run the call on whatever platform you’d normally use.
Video is 4K, and the same room supports all three major platforms rather than being locked to one.
Crestron Advanced Solutions
Room Scheduling: The system can integrate with digital signage, making it easy to find available rooms and coordinate meetings in real time.
Room Control Panels: Easy management of lighting, audio, and video, Crestron provides customizable touch panels, allowing users to control the environment and the technology in a meeting room.
Remote Monitoring and Control: Administrators can monitor and manage all systems remotely, which is ideal for businesses with multiple locations.
Innovation Starts Here
Built and tested in New Jersey
Crestron develops, tests and manufactures at its own headquarters in New Jersey, and the walls there are lined with hundreds of patents. It’s worth seeing, because it explains why the hardware behaves the way it does — this is a company that builds its own products rather than badging someone else’s.
Ongoing Crestron Service & Support
A Crestron system needs looking after. We apply the software updates, tune the programming as things change, keep an eye on the network everything runs on, and add features as Crestron releases them. Our service line is open seven days a week, 8am to 10pm, and it’s answered by our own technicians — often the person who installed the system.
