Pure Image at International CES2015

January 05, 2015

2015 International CES Conference - Attended by Pure Image.
Pure Image is attending CES in Las Vegas. We’re on the hunt for innovative new Home Theatre and Home Automation products to add to our offerings in Vancouver BC.

The first day at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2015 is about to begin, running from January 6th through January 9th. As a leader in the innovative home theatre, home automation, and home integration space, Pure Image has a team attending the event, looking to find the latest updates and direction from manufacturers we trust, as well as seeking out new partners with reliable, top-notch hardware and software. Our interest is in creating next-generation experiences that will surprise and delight people like you!

Home Theatre and Distributed Audio at CES2015

The Main Halls of CES are dominated by big players: Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, LG. Over the past ten years we’ve seen the rise of plasma technology, the rise of LCD technology, the amazing debut of LED and OLED, and, most recently, the emergence of curved, immersive displays. This year all signs point to more manufacturers following Samsung’s impressive lead in the curved space; we’ve said before that we’ve heard real satisfaction expressed from clients–both commercial and home customers–whenever we’ve installed a Samsung UHD curved display, so we’re excited to hear how they’re going to innovate in that space this year as well as finding out who else is going to bring new curved solutions to the table.

The distributed audio space continues to evolve, with more in-wall and in-ceiling offers from trusted manufacturers, but the real innovating is going to happen with new Dolby Atmos® offerings. Dolby Atmos is the next-generation surround sound solution that creates amazing theatre experiences with a whole new real-time approach to how sound gets to you when you’re watching a movie. What used to be a cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all audio track is now customized to your space and produced in real time when you’re watching an Atmos-encoded TV show or movie; you have to hear it to realize how ground breaking it is… but be warned, it’s hard to go back!

Home Automation at CES2015

Last but not least, we’re looking forward to discovering new breakthroughs in home automation. If you have an existing home automation system or you’re looking into the space it’s an exciting time: big name players are upgrading their systems with modular upgrades that can be added to existing networks, while new players are offering creative new solutions based on newly ratified systems like Apple’s HomeKit and IFTTT (a fun initialism that stands for “If this, then that”–it’s a great way to get different smart systems to work together).

CES is a lot of work; it’s four days and there’s still not enough time to see everything. The key, for Pure Image, is that we’re selective about what we’re interested in. Keep watching this space, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Pinterest and we’ll have more content for you over the course of the week.
